Trucks of all Sizes and Kids of All Ages are Coming to the 2022 Carlisle Truck Nationals
If it’s Not a Car, it will be Celebrated August 5-7 – if it is a Car, the Monster Trucks will Crush it
CARLISLE, PA… Have you ever seen more than 1,800 trucks together in one place? You can at the 2022 Carlisle Truck Nationals presented by A&A Auto Stores. This year’s event is August 5-7 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds and as has been the case since its inception in 1991, guests can enjoy trucks of all shapes, sizes, styles, and eras all in one place. After a record-setting 2021, expectations are high for 2022.
The fun isn’t limited to just the kids, including those 12 and under who get in free. Instead, it’s for kids of all ages. Families flock to Carlisle each summer for this event to participate from a show truck stand point and/or to simply walk the grounds and admire the real life versions of the toys they’ve been playing with at home for years. The Showfield includes lowered trucks, regular trucks, lifted trucks, customized and modified trucks, fire trucks, cool custom vans, big rigs, Jeeps, tractors, heavy equipment, and monster trucks. In addition, there are family activities like motorcycle stunt shows, monster truck shows and rides, and truck competitions too, including the all-new rolling burnouts and donut contest.
Planned for this year is a 40th anniversary showcase of the Chevy S-10. Dozens of S-10s will populate Building T and will be flanked by another popular Building T staple, fire trucks. Building T also welcomes a nice mix of featured display trucks, a best-of-the-best if you will. In addition, the big rigs are back for their annual Show and Shine. Trucks, haulers, heavy equipment, and more make the fairgrounds their weekend truck stop and showcase their lights, sound, and look for all to enjoy. Big rig owners also vie for awards like largest and coolest fleet, best lights, etc.
We mentioned the monster trucks, but there’s more to it than just seeing them in person. The trucks are in motion, competing against one another AND offering rides. Rides come by way of the Virginia Giant truck and hall of famer Diehl Wilson. In addition, Wilson plays ringmaster to a friendly car crushing competition between Full Boar and Bad News Travels Fast. Wilson even offers the soundtrack to yet another exhibition, this time it’s a FreestyleMX stunt show. Watch as pro stunt riders fly through the air, again offering jaw dropping action.
But wait…there’s even more. More family fun comes your way with the Moto Motion Freestyle Tour. Moto Motion includes elements of FMX and BMX to give guests an unforgettable show, all performed on a trials bike.
Finally, there are delectable eats available too, the kind of foods that in some cases you just can’t find elsewhere. The bottom line is that for $15 per adult (cheaper if purchased online) you can have an affordable family day out, go from 0-60 smiles per hour and bring your kid’s toybox to life.
