Midwest Pride in Your Ride
For nearly a decade, an annual spring highlight for the Truck Country/McCoy Group team has been taking part in the Midwest Pride in Your Ride truck and tractor show at the Tri-State Raceway in Earlville, Iowa.
Midwest Pride in Your Ride serves as a major fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in Eastern Iowa. Over the years, the event has raised over $1 million, including $101K this year
This year's show took place on May 3-4, and featured working class semi-trucks and antique farm tractors from across the Midwest. Highlights included a truck pull, light show, live auction and truck drag racing races.
Midwest Pride in Your was founded in 2008 by Eldon Jaeger, of Worthington, IA. Jaeger, a local trucker, created the event in honor of his late daughter, Brenda, who had a years-long battle with cancer. May’s show marked the eighth year that Truck Country/McCoy Group took part in the show by serving as a sponsor and vendor.
In addition to displaying new Freightliner and Western Star trucks and providing giveaways for show attendees, the Truck Country/McCoy Group booth featured the original diesel truck operated by former McCoy Group company, Mc-Mor-Han trucking. The 1959 GMC 860 used to do double duty for the company’s founder Bob McCoy, Sr. The truck transported milk during the daytime hours, while running livestock at night.
