Manac Legend SD -Delivering Value

A platform trailer must deliver many things beyond just freight. It must first deliver durability and value to the owner. Manac’s new Legend SD Combo platform trailers do just that.

Each trailer balances durability with light weight, starting with the center beams. By using high strength steel flanges and a variable thickness plasma cut web that is carefully configured to nose depth, center depth and rear depth, the Legend SD is provided with maximum capacity with minimum weight.

The Legend’s floating upper steel coupler improves strength and longevity. The coupler plate assembly is plug welded to the main beam web stiffening the beam while still allowing the main beams to articulate independently.

The full-length w-shaped braces between the beams add strength while providing efficient load distribution. The heavy-duty extruded aluminum sill caps on the floorboards provide a better fit and improved strength. The beveled corners protect marker lights.

The 13” deep 9 gauge galvanized rear light bar offers enhanced protection for the rear lights. The galvanized bumper assembly is bolted on for easy replacement. Cross members are made from 4” high strength light weight galvanized steel or the customer can spec aluminum for even more weight savings.

Each Legend SD comes with a strong, durable heavy-duty aluminum floor using inverted “T” extrusions for extra strength and four nailer strips for added versatility. Each trailer features rugged two-speed supports with a 50,000 lb. lift capacity and 160,000 lb. static load capacity. Each support features a self-leveling foot.

Manac’s side rails are made from heavy-duty extruded aluminum rated tubing. The side rails are bolted for easier replacement and feature rated anchor point solid spool spacers. The finish on Manac’s Legend SD is second to none and uses a full automatic shot blast process and high quality epoxy primer with acrylic urethane top coat. The wheels are white powder coated.

The Manac Legend SD comes in stepdeck or flatbed configurations with many available options, including: bulkheads, full wooden floors, toolboxes, extra lights, LL track winches and chain ties, aluminum cross members, 100% galvanized structure and a variety of suspensions.
