The company was purchased in 2017 by Wallenius Wilhemsen, a global shipping and logistics provider.Keen can now offer customers seamless machinery transportation services across the USA and around the world. Wallenius Wilhemsen operates a fleet of Roll on/roll off ships specially equipped to transport machinery, both crated and drive-on. Keen picks up and delivers to Wallenius Wilhemsen vessels in U.S. ports, serving both the import and export of machinery.
Keen Transport was founded in 1968 by Harold Keen and sold by the Keen Family in 2012. Harold Keen established the company with a unique business model. Keen Transport has been a strategic partner with most heavy equipment manufacturers and dealers across the USA and now worldwide. They work with the construction, mining and agriculture industries to deliver the heavy equipment and machinery they require. Keen will pick up heavy equipment direct from the manufacturer deliver it to dealers, customers or store it at one of their facilities until final delivery is needed. The company goes well beyond just P&D of the heavy equipment. Many of the pieces must be partially disassembled to transport and then of course reassembled at delivery. Keen has trained technicians at all of their facilities to perform the disassembles and assemblies, including storage and painting of machines. In addition, Keen technicians can perform dealer prep work on the heavy equipment to be delivered directly to the customers, and on many occasions, directly to their job site. Keen Transport also serves as a heavy equipment freight broker and provides pre-delivery and loading services to other heavy equipment hauling companies as well. Keen has complete rigging services to prepare loads for transport. They take great pride in providing customers with on-time, damage-free delivery.
Keen Transport’s corporate headquarters has been located on Route 11 at 1951 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, Pennsylvania for the past 53 years. However, the company has 14 locations nationwide, some dedicated to manufacturing plants and others to port facilities. Nearly all are located east of the Mississippi, which is Keen’s primary operational area.
Keen has driving positions available for local, regional and OTR work. Company drivers and owner-operators can be located nearly anywhere east of the Mississippi. The local trucks do inter-plant hauls to a nearby Keen facility, regional deliveries average 500 miles and OTR loads could delivery anywhere in the USA. There are a few established lanes.

To qualify, drivers must have 2 years of verifiable driving experience in any trucking capacity and be at least 23 years of age, with a safe driving record.
