Don’t Get Sidetracked
There are many people who start off on the main line but simply get sidetracked and never recognized what has happened.
A real physician does not treat disease, he rather treats the patient. How can we avoid getting on sidetracks and getting off course? One way to do it is to look for the scenery along the way. There are landmarks and various other marks in the scenery that tell us when we are traveling in the right direction. So, it is in life.
Jesus Christ said, “If you follow me, you can expect the world to hate you; for the world hated me before it hated you. If you do down through the world and the arms of men are outstretched to you, and you are received by the world, it may be an indication that you are not walking with God.”
Jesus said, “Woe unto the man everyone speaks well of.” If you live in the light of the word and you walk with Christ, you can expect to suffer some. It is part of the scenery on the road between earth and heaven. Then, as we go along, we can expect the people we are promised to see. God has many, many servants in the world. They stand ready and willing to help us if we are ready and willing to listen.
