​An Oldie But Goodie!

LATROBE, PA… Tim McFeaters, a lifelong Professional Truck Driver from Latrobe, Pennsylvania, is the proud owner of a genuine classic – a 1974 Kenworth W900A Model. What makes the truck so unique is that it is ALL original with only 70,000 miles on it and there’s a very interesting story about this truck.

The Kenworth was a glider built in 1974 by a Kittanning, Pennsylvania steel hauler, Lloyd “Bud” Beers. It wasn’t until 1982 that the Kenworth went on the road and then just a short time later Lloyd fell off his trailer and never trucked again. The KW was then sold to a neighbor, who kept it in a barn until Tim McFeaters bought it in 2014. Since them Tim has taken the truck to the Spencer’s Chrome Shop Truck Show and WATTS Mack in New Alexandria.

The 43-year-old Kenworth is a 13 speed with the original 8V92 Detroit engine. It is a single axle with an air tag. It still sports the original aluminum front bumper and has a white and red interior that is spotless.

In addition to the 1974 Kenworth W900A, Tim also owns a 1980 Kenworth A Model and 3 old Macks, including a Liberty Edition Superliner.

Tim also helped his friend Tom McClarran purchase a 1978 Kenworth A from Roadboss Bama Bob. The Alabama A, as they call it, was built as a show truck back in the day.

Tim McFeaters is the owner of Latrobe M&M Trucking, Inc. and operates a fleet of over 20 tractors. Latrobe M&M Trucking, Inc. does flatbed work for the most part, hauling steel, lumber and oversized commodities.

These days the 1974 Kenworth W900A “Barn Find”, along with the other 2 Kenworths and 3 Macks reside in Tim’s heated garage, waiting for the next truck show to make their appearance.
